The National Institute of Open Schooling offers various Vocational Courses at the school level with the objective of providing Skill Development in different areas. There are 1600 Vocational Education Centres of NIOS in India and abroad. For NIOS Vocational Admission 2021, you need to upload the scanned copy of the required documents while filling up the online application form.

NIOS Vocational Course Online Admission
The NIOS Board provides flexibility to the aspirants who want to take admission in Vocational Courses-
- Admission remains open throughout the year.
- Choose any Vocational Course of your choice (just need to fulfill the eligibility criteria).
- You can complete your course in 5 years. In those 5 years, you will be provided total 9 chances to appear for the public examination. (NIOS conducts public examination twice in a year.)
Before starting online admission to the NIOS Vocational Course, you are advised to prepare the required documents in advance to upload them while filling the online form.
What Documents are required for NIOS Online Admission for Vocational Course?
For online admission to any NIOS Vocational Programme, the scanned copy of the following documents will be required-
- Educational Qualification:- Highest Qualification Marksheet (i.e. 5th/ 8th/ 10th/ 12th Class marksheet) OR Self Certificate for Literate candidates.
- Age Proof:- Aadhaar Card/ Passport / Voter ID / Birth Certificate/ Driving License
- Address Proof:- Aadhaar Card / Ration Card / Bank Account Statement / Voter ID/ Electricity Bill / Water Bill
- Passport size Photograph (colored)
- Scanned copy of Signature
- Caste Certificate – SC/ ST/ OBC

Procedure for Online Admission
How to register online for NIOS Vocational Course Admission?
Follow the given below procedure-
Step 1. Go to the Vocational portal of NIOS i.e. https://voc.nios.ac.in/
Step 2. On the Home Page, click on “Admission” and then to “Regular Vocational Programmes”.
Step 3. Select the Sector of your choice – Agriculture & Husbandry / Business & Commerce / Hospitality Courses / Computer & IT Courses / Engineering & Technology / Health / Home Science.
Step 4. Suppose I selected “Computer and Information Technology”.
Step 5. All the available Vocational Courses of the Computer and IT sector will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6. Select the one in which you are interested and willing to take admission. Suppose I selected “Certificate in Computer Applications” under 1 year Certificate Course.
Step 7. Fill Basic Detail – Name of Candidate, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number and Email Address.
Step 8. Click on “Generate OTP”. For verification, you will receive an OTP on your Mobile Number and Email Address. You need to verify it for further process.
Step 9. Course Details– You may see the vocational Course and select the medium – Hindi/ English.
Step 10. Enter your Permanent Address and Correspondence Address.
Step 11. Other Details – Fill the required details like Caste, Educational Qualification, 10th passing year, 12th passing year etc.
Step 12. Tick mark the declaration and then click on “Next” button.
Step 13. Choose Subject – You will see the Subject Name. Click on “Next” button.
Step 14. Select Study Centre of your choice – Country, State, District.
Step 15. Document Upload – scanned copy of Photograph, Signature, Aadhaar Card, Previous Educational Qualification, Address Proof.
Step 16. Now, review the application.
Step 17. Admission Fees – Deposit Registration Fees (Rs.2400/-) and Online Application Fees (Rs.50/-) through online mode only via click on “Pay Now” button.
Step 18. After successful submission and deposit of fee, your will get admission to the NIOS Vocational Course.
